It's been a busy week or so for GHOSTBUSTERS news, with multiple casting announcements and the first looks at the new proton packs and uniforms, and now director Paul Feig has shared the first image of the new Ecto-1.

So what's the verdict? Well, its design doesn't stray too far from the original version, but like the proton packs and uniforms, part of me wishes Feig and company had gone with a completely new looking GB vehicle for the reboot. Not saying the new Ecto-1 should be a Mom van or Smart car, but I'd be OK with an overhauled design, especially since the reboot won't have an connection to the original movies.

While I still have mixed feelings about the reboot, I am going to give it a chance. Production is in full swing for GHOSTBUSTERS, and it is set to open on July 22, 2016.
