As promised yesterday, the new full trailer for THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG has been released. It contains a ton of action and plenty of new footage that wasn't shown in the previous trailers. Best part of the trailer in my opinion? Benedict Cumberbatch's voice for Smaug the Dragon. We don't get that great of a look at Smaug, but hearing Cumberbatch's terrifying voice for the dragon is awesome enough on its own.

"Come now, don't be shy. Step into the light!"

Here's the synopsis:

The Dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf have successfully escaped the Misty Mountains, and Bilbo has gained the One Ring. They all continue their journey to get their gold back from the Dragon, Smaug.

THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG starring Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lilly, Orlando Bloom, Richard Armitage, Luke Evans, Cate Blanchett, Hugo Weaving, Lee Pace, Christopher Lee, Andy Serkis, and Billy Connelly enters the dragon's den on December 13, 2013.
