Wonder Woman 1984: HBO Max premiere time confirmed for Christmas Day

While the pandemic has forced countless theaters across the globe to remain closed, that's not about to stop Wonder Woman 1984 from charging onto screens and into your home. For those of you that are looking to enjoy the film while in the comfort and safety of your own home, you should know that Warner Bros. has announced what time the film will stream for HBO Max subscribers. Typically, films and television series arrive on streaming services in and around midnight, but that is not the case for Diana Prince's next adventure.

As of this time, Wonder Woman 1984 will be made available on the service at 12 pm ET, or 9 am PT, on Christmas Day. In other words, staying up past the stroke of midnight won't do you any favors if you're hoping to catch the film before everyone else. Here's hoping the servers at HBO Max don't explode with so many fans turning in all at once, eh?

When the film arrives on HBO Max, it will do so at no extra cost to subscribers. The film will be made available on the service for 31 days, giving us all one whole month to ride the lighting alongside the Amazonian Ambassador of Badassary.

For all of you Canucks out there, Wonder Woman 1984 will be available for rental via PVOD for $29.99 beginning on Friday, December 25 (price listed Canada SRP). While I can only assume that the superhero sequel will launch at the same time as 12 PT on Christmas Day, this has yet to be confirmed. I'll tell you what though, as a Canadian resident, I'll flip tables if we don't get the movie at the same time as the U.S. I've got my Christmas holiday all mapped out, and enjoying Wonder Woman 1984 on my couch alongside my wife is the centerpiece of this year's festivities. Let's make it happen, Universe!
