New official still released for Russian sci-fi thriller Sputnik!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

SPUTNIK is an upcoming Russian sci-fi horror-thriller from first-time director Egor Abramenko, and an Official Selection at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. Not only that, but the trailer for the film was pretty intense and moody, and the monster (despite being CGI) is especially well-designed. I for one am looking forward to it. Here's the official synopsis:

Russia, 1983. Amid Cold War tensions, a terrifying scene is discovered at the crash site of spacecraft Orbit-4 — its cosmonaut commander is dead, its flight engineer in a coma, and survivor Konstantin Sergeyevich (Pyotr Fyodorov) has no memory of the accident.

Psychologist Tatiana Klimova (Oksana Akinshina) is brought to a secluded government facility to assess Konstantin under the vigilant watch of armed guards. In the process, she learns that Orbit-4 may have carried back an alien parasite that threatens to consume them all.

Now the production has released a new official still ahead of SPUTNIK's release to theaters and On Demand August 14th. You check it out here:
