Sputnik: sci-fi horror film getting English-language remake from Matt Reeves

Deadline reports that filmmaker Matt Reeves (The Batman, Let Me In) will be producing an English-language remake of the hit Russian sci-fi horror-thriller Sputnik! You can check out the trailer for the original film at the top of the article, and below is the official synopsis for it as well (though it's unclear exactly how much will be retained for the remake):

Summoned to a secluded research facility, a controversial young doctor examines a cosmonaut who returned to Earth with an alien parasite inside of him.

Meanwhile, no official release or start date as of yet, but we'll keep you updated!
