New Ready or Not images tease the craziest, bloodiest family tradition ever

Some families have traditions like opening one gift on Christmas Eve, going to the same restaurant for any special occasion or – in the case of the eccentric, wealthy family in READY OR NOT – hunting newcomers to the family across their massive mansion for sport. Some new images from the upcoming horror flick tease the gnarliest family tradition in history, featuring the craziest family, and the woman in the middle (Samara Weaving) who has to fight to the bloody death to survive.

The first trailer for the movie won over audiences recently with its showcase of bonkers horror action that mixed humor and gore with visuals of wealthy people going absolutely batshit. The new images put the family (featuring actors Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell, Mark O'Brien and more) in a much creepier light, while Weaving gears up to fight back against these crazies.

For a lot of people, this movie shot to a high spot on their Most Anticipated of the Year lists, and it's easy to see why. The premise is insanely fun and there's a strong sense of humor that blends with the bursts of violence. The cast looks like they just leaped into the zaniness head first, and overall it looks like an absolute blast that will end the summer on a wild note.

Here's the synopsis:

READY OR NOT follows a young bride (Samara Weaving) as she joins her new husband’s (Mark O’Brien) rich, eccentric family (Adam Brody, Henry Czerny, Andie MacDowell) in a time-honored tradition that turns into a lethal game with everyone fighting for their survival.

READY OR NOT debuts at the Fantasia Film Festival on July 27 and is in theaters August 21.
