SPOOOOOOON!!!!!!! To say that I’m excited for the upcoming THE TICK Amazon Prime series is an understatement. I loved THE TICK since I was a kid watching the old FOX cartoon show, I loved the original live-action Patrick Warburton one, and I of course loved the recent pilot with Peter Serafinowicz! My favorite part was that the tone was different – instead of super cartoony, or sitcomy, it was instead a dark introspective superhero story that The Tick essentially breaks. It was awesome.
Luckily it gained enough support to go to full series, and I’m liking what I see so far. I like the costume, though it’s not perfect (a bit too obviously bulky with too many parts), and I like that they’re keeping up with the send up of darker superhero stories. I can’t wait!
Meanwhile, THE TICK will start streaming on Amazon Prime August 25th.
