The new season of Game of Thrones starts up in less than two weeks and I’m sure most of you are salivating to return to the lands of Westeros and Essos. It’s been far too long of a wait in my opinion but the third season looks to be the start of some serious shit going down. Not to say the previous seasons lacked gravity but I think season three is going to really up the ante. I’m not going to get into plot spoilers but if you think this past season of The Walking Dead has been intense you better invest in some new pants because yours will probably be soaked in piss at the end of each new episode of Game of Thrones.

HBO has released a second trailer for season three as well as two television spots. The second trailer for the series shows most of the heavy hitters planning and talking about things like “duty” and “darkness.” The two television previews are called “War” and “The Beast” and are friendly reminders that you know…death is coming for everyone.

The battle for the throne continues on March 31st, 2013.
