Shout! Studios has acquired the North American distribution rights to director Micah Gallo's ITSY BITSY. A release date has not yet been announced, but Shout! will be releasing the film through their genre imprint Scream Factory sometime in 2019.

The original PET SEMATARY's Denise Crosby stars in ITSY BITSY alongside Bruce Davison, Elizabeth Roberts, Chloe Perrin, Arman Darbo, Treva Etienne, and a giant spider.

Said to combine the "high concept fun" of JAWS with the "edgy character drama" of THE EXORCIST, the film is

based on the centuries-old poem. The story centers on a family moving into a secluded mansion where they soon find themselves being targeted by an ancient entity taking the form of a giant spider.

Gallo wrote the screenplay with J. Bryan Dick and Jason Alvino.

The description comparing ITSY BITSY to JAWS and THE EXORCIST is probably aiming a bit high, but this does seem like it's going to be a fun creature feature.
