You begged and begged, and donated and donated until you could donate no more, but the gang behind SUPER TROOPERS finally did it. After raising millions for a sequel to their cult hit comedy, the boys of Broken Lizard (Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske) were able to create SUPER TROOPERS 2, and it has secured a release date of April 20, 2018. The first teaser for the film is here, answering the age-old question, “How many Canadian Mountie costumes can several million dollars buy?” Two…two is the answer.
The movie looks like it should cater to all the needs of the fans who love the first film so much. There's plenty of law enforcement shenanigans ready to be had, and more than enough mustaches to go around. It'll be great to see the gang back in action, and perhaps we won't have to wait as long for SUPER TROOPERS 3.
