After racking up over 80 screen acting credits in the last decade, Jamie Bernadette has now earned her first writing credit with the upcoming supernatural slasher THE 6TH FRIEND, which The Asylum will be releasing into theatres on January 11th.

Directed by Bernadette's co-writer Letia Miller, the film tells the story of

six college best friends that throw their own private graduation only to see it go terribly wrong when an uninvited guest arrives. Five years later, the girls gather once again and endure a night of far more horror and bloodshed.

Bernadette stars in THE 6TH FRIEND alongside Chantelle Albers, Dominique Swain, Jessica Morris, Tania Nolan, and Monique Rosario. She also produced the film with Chantelle Albers.

Lyle Albers served as executive producer, Richard D.Erlich and Marlene Hagerott are the associate producers, Dawn Manning was the line producer, and Jim Towns the co-producer.

Bernadette describes THE 6TH FRIEND as her

wonderfully wicked horror baby – I’m so darn proud of it. Hearing news of a theatrical from our distributor, The Asylum, is music to my ears and I just know audiences are going to love seeing the six of us try and evade the uninvited guest of the movie together in a theater! Here’s to offering horror fans their first bigscreen scream of the new year!"

The announcement of the release date was accompanied by the release of a poster and trailer, both of which can be seen below. Bernadette is very happy with the poster art The Asylum put together, feeling that it

tips audiences off to what they can expect – a fun, frightening mix of everything from Wes Craven’s SCREAM to the HALLOWEEN films embossed in a nice coat of girl power!"

Check out the poster and trailer and see if THE 6TH FRIEND looks like a movie you'd like to watch next month.
