This bloody good Baskin poster pulls no punches

The Turkish horror flick BASKIN is preceded by its reputation. While not many in America have had a chance to see it, it's already gained a great deal of notoriety, and this new poster cements that in pretty well. Utilizing the white background design popularized by the posters for the SAW franchise, BASKIN announces itself with a bloody bang.

This is obviously a foreign design, because American cinemas would balk at the balls to the wall gore of this frankly awesome one sheet. Well, that and the fact that the quotes aren't in English. as far as I can tell, the quote they use translates to the Rooney quote "Fasten your entrails; it's going to be a bumpy night." Ominous. Five cops, working the graveyard shift in the middle of nowhere are dispatched to investigate a disturbance. Isolated and without back up they find themselves confronting a labyrinthine ruin. Pushing ever further into the depths of the lair, it becomes clear they have stumbled into the darkest pits of a terrible evil. A squalid and blood-soaked den of ritual led by The Father – the master of all their nightmares – who will plunge them ever deeper down the rabbit hole and into the very mouth of madness.

BASKIN was directed by Can Evrenol and stars Gorkem Kasal, Ergun Kuyucu, Mehmet Cerrahoglu, Sabahattin Yakut, Mehmet Fatih Dokgoz and Muharrem Bayrak. IFC Midnight will be bringing the film to the States soon.
