Aubrey Plaza has been completely nailing supporting roles in films like FUNNY PEOPLE and SCOTT PILGRIM, before owning the lead role in Colin Trevorrow‘s sleeper SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED. In ABOUT ALEX, she looks to be joining what seems to be a really solid ensemble cast, for which the trailer has just recently landed.

The film looks like it nails the vibe it’s going for, and I really enjoy all the actors within. Sometimes during the summer movie season, one can get a little action-fatigued, so this’ll be a nice change of pace when it hits theaters in August.

ABOUT ALEX, starring Aubrey Plaza, Maggie Grace, Janey Levy, Max Greenfield, Max Minghella, and Jason Ritter, will hit theaters August 8, 2014.
