The story finds a family coming together for a funeral and attempting to reconnect. In these situations, an ensemble cast will make or break your movie, but we’re lucky to have the likes of Jason Bateman and Tina Fey headlining.

Despite having a similar plot to films like ELIZABETHTOWN and GARDEN STATE, I’m still willing to give this flick a shot. The cast is pretty great, although it’s director Shawn Levy‘s work that I’m iffy about. While I found DATE NIGHT to be an enjoyable affair, THE NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM doesn’t do anything for me. In this case, I think the R-rating is a selling point to separate this from his previous work.
