Travel to the 1936 Olympics in the trailer for the Jesse Owens biopic Race

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

RACE is based on the true story of Jesse Owens, the legendary athletic superstar whose quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler’s vision of Aryan supremacy. Witness the struggle with the first trailer!

I wonder why they didn't put, 'From the director of PREDATOR 2' in front of this trailer. In any case, Stephen Hopikins looks like he's adequately shot a success story based on some real life events. I'm actually pretty jazzed to see Jason Sudeikis get more work outside of comedy. Who knows? This one may fall in line with some of the better sports films featuring Hitler.

RACE will be released on February 19, 2016.
