Unhinged promo where Russell Crowe reads from the AITA subreddit!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So this is fun! For the YouTube channel Looper, Russell Crowe – being a good sport – takes a look at the dredges of Reddit in the "AITA (or 'Am I the Asshole')" subreddit, as he promotes his upcoming road rage thriller UNHINGED. There are some gems in here, like a guy harassing the wait staff over potatoes being in his chili, to a boyfriend completely deleting his girlfriend's Instagram account (which Crowe thinks makes him "a major f*cking asshole"), among others.

Anyway, here's the official synopsis for the film:

A psychological thriller starring Academy Award-winner Russell Crowe from Carl Ellsworth, the writer of Red Eye and Disturbia and Lisa Ellzey, the producer of Warrior and Kingdom of Heaven. It takes an ordinary, everyday incident to its most terrifying conclusion in telling the story of a mother who leans on her horn at the wrong time, to the wrong guy. "Road rage" doesn't begin to describe what he's about to do to her and everyone she knows.

Meanwhile, UNHINGED – directed by Derrick Borte and starring Russell Crowe, Caren Pistorius, Jimmi Simpson, Gabriel Bateman – is expected to crash into theaters August 21st…but we'll keep you updated about any possible delays.

So what do you guys think? Looking forward to UNHINGED? If not, did this trailer change your mind? Either way, sound off below!
