Warner Bros. releases two new Deep Blue Sea clips to “wet” our appetites!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

DEEP BLUE SEA 3 is the second sequel to what is now officially a DEEP BLUE SEA franchise. Maybe they'll eventually have to fight sharks in space? In any case, Warner Bros. has just released two new clips for the film, which you can watch at the top of the article. Below is the official synopsis:

Emma Collins, an eminent marine biologist, and her crew have set up a mid-ocean laboratory over a sunken island town in the ocean where they are observing the first known Great White mating area. Unfortunately, the enhanced Bull Sharks that escaped in Deep Blue Sea 2 are also there with their own evolutionary goal: cross-breeding with the bigger, faster Great Whites. The mission’s patron, Richard Lowell, believes that the Bull Sharks contain the key to intelligence enhancement, which he secretly intends to sell for big profits. Now, Emma and her crew are trapped on crumbling stilt houses mere feet over the ocean, caught between predators above and below the water.

Huh. The film looks to have been at least competently (if not innovatingly) shot, and – while paling in comparison to the original's twenty-year old VFX – the sharks look better than SHARKNADO. I'm grasping at straws, here.

Meanwhile, DEEP BLUE SEA 3 – directed by John Pogue and starring Nathaniel Buzolic, Emerson Brooks, and Bren Foster – will swim to Digital and VOD July 28th, then on Blu-Ray August 25!

So what do you guys think? Fans of the original film? If so, how does this sequel seem to be stacking up? Either way, sound off below!
