We’re streaming Overwatch live on Twitch tonight!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Blizzard Entertainment has unleashed a major update for OVERWATCH this Tuesday, and our own Bobby Shortle will be taking the new build for a test run later this evening  at 9:30 p.m. EST via our JoBlo Games Twitch Channel. Alongside some quality of life changes to the core experience, the update will also introduce players to a new character, Sigma, as well as a new role lock feature, which forces teams to have 2 Healers, 2 Tanks, and 2 Damage-dealing members.

OVERWATCH's new character, Sigma, is a Tank class hero who uses a dastardly skill set of gravity-based attacks that are likely to drive his opponents mad with rage. For the role queue system, players must choose characters from a mandated class, such as Tank, Healer, or Damage. When a match ends, players are placed back in the queue, and must select their role once again. If a role becomes limited, players who engage in the role will receive rewards for their participation.

For those of you who've yet to check out Blizzard Entertainment's OVERWATCH, the mega-popular first-person arena shooter now features a total of 31 playable characters, each with their own unique set of abilities that have the potential to change the course of a match without warning. As a part of the latest update to the game, some characters will have their stats and abilities augmented to fit the new build. Characters that are set to receive changes as of today's update are Brigitte, Symmetra, and Sombra, with leeser changes being implemented for Ashe, D.Va, Doomfist, Hanzo, Orisa, Tracer, and Wrecking Ball.

Our stream of the new OVERWATCH will be going live on our JoBlo Games Twitch channel at 9:30 p.m. EST.

In addition to tonight's stream, we're also proud to announce that the audio version of our first JoBlo Games Show Podcast is now available for your listening pleasure. Hosted by JoBlo's own Bobby Shortle, myself, and Monthly Reset alum Justin Townsend, the first episode serves as a "getting to know you" type of show, with us telling you a bit about our gaming backgrounds and intentions for the podcast going forward. We also talk up our favorite video games of 2019 so far, which include RESIDENT EVIL 2, BABA IS YOU, BLOODSTAINED: RITUAL OF THE NIGHT, SUPER MARIO MAKER 2, and much more.

The audio version of the podcast is now available for streaming or download via Anchor and Spotify.

We hope to see you on the stream later tonight! Game on!
