And, the suit looks fine. Chris Nolan has always been going for the realistic and practical route, and this suits looks a lot more functional and useful than Joel Schumacher's nippled wonders. I swear, nothing will ever please you fanboys. Even if Christian Bale personally came over to give you all a handjob after your viewing of The Dark Knight, you still would be bitching and complaining.

The idea of having Batman in these ads is fine. The only thing that's a mistake is that god-awful batsuit. How Nolan can get everything else so right, and the suit so wrong (twice now) is baffling.

Still, I think Warner should have protected the film's darkness more and not have posters like this happen...or at least delay the poster until most people have already seen the flick (which wouldn't help the Milk campaign as much but still..). Leave the Milk stuff to Supes...I don't think the Bat should end up on stuff like this.

I know comics are not all campy and fun. However, Marvel and DC do tend to target younger crowds. Kids love Superheroes and Batman is a major icon for them. Got Milk ads are meant to get kids to drink milk. Batman...

Got Milk ads are meant to get kids to drink milk. Batman is an icon to many kids. People are making a big deal because they want their Batman to be only for them. The movie is dark in tone, but it won't stop them from making toys about it or anything else. Comic Books have always been meant for children at least in DC and Marvel. Of course, I wouldn't let a kid read Spawn, but I am fine with him reading an X-Men or Batman comic.

BTW, if you think Batman is for kids or even that "comics are for a younger crowd", go to a local comic shop and tally up the content (i'm not talking that silly ass parental labeling) and you'll see not all of it is campy and fun.
