Kill Creek series coming to Showtime via Scott Derrickson

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Misha Green is quickly becoming a big name in horror television. She is currently serving as writer and showrunner on Jordan Peele and J.J. Abrams' upcoming LOVECRAFT COUNTRY, and today we have word via Deadline that Green is joining forces with SINISTER director Scott Derrickson for an all-new horror series for Showtime.

It's called KILL CREEK and based on Scott Thomas’ award-winning novel of the same name, which was shortlisted for the Bram Stoker Award and named the American Library Association’s Horror Book of 2017. You can snag a copy over on Amazon RIGHT HERE.

In KILL CREEK:

when best-selling horror author Sam McGarver and three fellow masters of the macabre reluctantly agree to spend Halloween night in one of the country’s most infamous haunted houses, their presence awakens an entity that will torment and threaten to make them a part of Kill Creek’s bloody legacy.

Thomas will pen the adaptation and executive produce with Green, Derrickson, Adam Gomolin and Andrew Lazar, and Elisa Ellis. Derrickson is set to direct the pilot with Showtime and Platform One Media co-producing.

Like the above-mentioned Peele & Abrams produced LOVECRAFT COUNTRY, this new series has just made my must-see list. Or at the very least, Thomas' novel has just made my must-read list. Gotta love haunted houses on Halloween!

KILL CREEK is now in development at Showtime.
