Milla Jovovich opens fire in new poster for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter

08.08.2016

resident evil, resident evil: the final chapter, milla jovovich,

Another RESIDENT EVIL movie is coming. They say this is the last one. Maybe we'll get lucky and someone will stick to their word.

RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER is set to arrive in January, ringing in the finale of the series that has seen Milla Jovovich's Alice do battle with the evil Umbrella Corporation over the span of what will amount to six films. (Wow... They've done six of these bad boys?!) And while this video game adaptation has never been my cup of tea, the RESIDENT EVIL franchise has proven to be a steady performer for Screen Gems. Every entry opens to $20-something million and #1 for the weekend, and so they've kept making them to this point.

But all stories must come to an end, and Paul W.S. Anderson has gotten about all he can out of this franchise - hence, THE FINAL CHAPTER. Those interested in seeing how things get wrapped up will get a taste this week when the first trailer drops, but, for now, Milla Jovovich opening fire in a ring of fire for the teaser poster will have to hold you until then.

RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER opens on January 27, 2017.

Blatant Hunger Games ripoff, not to mention it's so stupid how these studios love to slap the word "final" on subtitles and taglines. For God's sake quit doing this to yourselves. You know you can't resist sequels and reboots, so why even use the word? Saw, Harry Potter (sort of), don't even get me started on the Fast & Furious franchise even though I'm a fan.

Embarrasing

Looking at The Poster one would think this is an Asylum production ripping off the poster and lettering of The Hunger Games.. But no, is the 6th entry from one of the worst franchise of all time in my opinion. They've should have stopped at 3.

The best part of the first movie was Colin Salmon and the laser corridor was awesome. The second movie was terrible. From the third film onward the franchise got better. I really enjoyed Andersons' last two movies. The fourth one begins with a great action scene and the fifth one has an awesome slowmotion intro. The last movie really had a video game feeling to it with the different areas resembling different levels in a game. Both movies were really ridiculous, but I still found them very
