Full trailer for James Wan’s The Conjuring starring Patrick Wilson, Lili Taylor and Vera Farmiga

Director James Wan has been steadily upping his scare factor since debuting with 2004’s SAW and peaking with 2010’s INSIDIOUS.  However, he’s showing no signs of slowing down as his next entry in the horror genre, THE CONJURING, looks to be every bit as spooky and hair-raising, once again jumping into the supernatural realm.  INSIDIOUS star Patrick Wilson gets back into the ghost business along with Lili Taylor and Vera Farmiga in a “true story” tale that is sure to send shivers down your spine.

We’ve seen the early “clap” tease for the film, but today we have the full trailer for the pic, which looks every bit as spooky.  I’m not a huge horror buff, but when it looks to be firing on all cylinders like this one, I’m a shoe-in for some big-screen terror.

Take a look:

Here’s the synopsis:

Before there was Amityville, there was Harrisville. Based on a true story, “The Conjuring” tells the horrifying tale of how world-renowned paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren were called upon to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a secluded farmhouse. Forced to confront a powerful demonic entity, the Warrens find themselves caught in the most terrifying case of their lives.

Man, you start talking about Amittyville and true stories and I’m already spooked to shit.  I can handle werewolves, vampires, psycho babysitters, whatever, but you start throwing in real-world scares and I get all rubbery and ready to run for my life. With GHOSTBUSTERS 3 likely to never happen and keep me from envisioning someone I can call for such troubles, it seems that calling paranormal investigators will have to suffice.

THE CONJURING, starring Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Lili Taylor, Ron Livingston, and Joey King starts scaring the shit out of you on July 19, 2013.
