The story of this movie follows an ace assassin (Michelle Rodriguez) who is double crossed by gangsters and falls into the hands of rogue surgeon known as The Doctor (Sigourney Weaver) who turns him into a woman. The hitman (now a hitwoman) sets out for revenge in the trailer for Walter Hill‘s THE ASSIGNMENT aka TOMBOY.
When this film hit the Toronto International Film Festival last year (check out our review HERE), it was called (RE)ASSIGNMENT. Then it was changed to THE ASSIGNMENT. Judging from this ad, it looks like Precision Pictures decided that TOMBOY was the strongest title to assign to this garbage. Either way, this movie sounds appropriately ridiculous and would probably make for a great drinking game when it hits Digital.
TOMBOY/THE ASSIGNMENT will hit Digital HD on March 13th and DVD on April 3rd.
