All stories must come to an end in the first trailer for the Entourage movie

The movie that nobody really needed is finally here in the first trailer for the ENTOURAGE movie. Granted, I enjoyed the first few seasons of the HBO series starring Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Dillon, and Jeremy Piven, but much like the SEX AND THE CITY movie, this just feels unnecessary. Even the opening sequence from the movie-within-the-movie HYDE feels like it is trying too hard.

But, then we get to see everyone from Ari and Turtle acting like their normal characters alongside new additions to the cast like Billy Bob Thornton, Haley Joel Osment, Emily Ratajkowski, Ronda Rousey, and a cameo from series co-reator Mark Wahlberg. I could not help but feel like this was just an extended episode of the series rather than something that sets it apart for movie audiences.

Movie star Vincent Chase (Grenier), together with his boys, Eric (Connolly), Turtle (Ferrara) and Johnny (Dillon), are back…and back in business with super agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold (Piven). Some of their ambitions have changed, but the bond between them remains strong as they navigate the capricious and often cutthroat world of Hollywood.

Will ENTOURAGE be a $100 million hit? Probably somewhere close to there, but I wouldn’t hold out hope that this is going to be anything spectacular. I chuckled at Turtle getting knocked the f*ck out by Ronda Rousey, but I always laugh when women beat dudes.

ENTOURAGE hits theaters on June 5, 2015.
