Colin Trevorrow releases BTS photo from the set of Jurassic World: Dominion!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

So this is fun! A new behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the upcoming blockbuster sequel JURASSIC PARK: DOMINION has just been released from the director of the film himself, Colin Trevorrow (BOOK OF HENRY, DUEL OF THE FATES). You can check it out below!

Now, there's been some speculation that since the metal container in the photo reveals that it came from Isla Sorna (the island from THE LOST WORLD), it means that said island will once again play a key role in the narrative for some reason. I disagree, however, because even though there's evidence the container is from the island, doesn't mean that the scene is taking place on the island (the set itself is an office room…which could be literally located anywhere). Meaning this photo could be from the ruins of the mansion in FALLEN KINGDOM, or an InGen corporate site in downtown San Diego, or possibly even Ian Malcolm's own research office. The possibilities are endless! (Not to mention, I'd be so angry if the series went back to those f*cking islands again. Do something new!!!)

Meanwhile, not much is known about the plot for the upcoming JRUARSSIC WORLD, though it will see the return of JW mainstays Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as re-introduce the OG JURASSIC PARK crew, Sam Neil, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum as Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm, respectively.

Having said all that, JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION is set to stomp into theaters June 11th, 2021 (exactly 28 years from the original film's release date)….but we'll keep you updated if there are any changes or delays.

So what do you guys think? Fans of the JURASSIC WORLD movies? Either way, sound off below!
