Mysterious Games of Thrones season 5 trailer and website released

Not only was this a depressing reminder that we are still about five months away from the premiere of Game of Thrones’ fifth season, but HBO is teasing us with cryptic hashtags and trailers! Below is a very brief Game of Thrones season 5 teaser which does offer a small dose of new footage from the upcoming season. Fans of the books who might decipher some clues might want to share some spoiler alerts in the Strikeback section below before telling us what it all probably means.

The trailer ends with a link to ThreeEyedRaven.com, where you can sign up to get updates on the new season; Game of Thrones will likely return to HBO in March or April.

The new season is going to be an interesting one as showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have now caught up with the George R.R. Martin’s book series. I’m sure it’s not too difficult to get his opinion on where they’re headed with everything; it wouldn't hurt to get some pointers right? The show is looking to wrap up for good with season 7 (or 8 if need be); so no doubt fans of the books might have something to say about any and all upcoming developments.
