We have a fantastic new teaser trailer for Bennett Miller‘s FOXCATCHER, which is sure to be one of the most talked about movies this fall. FOXCATCHER along with BIRDMAN, which is already getting Oscar buzz, have been two of my most anticipated of the year. This movie gives such an uneasy feeling when watching these characters; they don’t even have to talk for you to see they have some serious problems. Steve Carell takes the spotlight in this teaser and is absolutely terrifying to look at; I’ll admit I did not see this possible career defining performance coming.
The film tells the true story of Olympic Wrestling Champion brothers Mark Schultz (Tatum) and Dave Schultz (Ruffalo), and their troubled relationship with eccentric millionaire John du Pont (Carell).

Carell and Channing Tatum look to be delivering their best work yet in this intense drama; I thought the same with Philip Seymour Hoffman in Miller’s CAPOTE and he went on to win the Best Actor Oscar, so here’s hoping it’s as great as it looks. The film also stars Mark Ruffalo, Sienna Miller, Vanessa Redgrave, and Anthony Michael Hall.
FOXCATCHER opens in theaters on November 14th 2014.
