Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Season 1, episode titles

Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians will raise its sword on Disney+ on December 20, and episode titles from the upcoming season hint that significant moments from the novels will be featured in the latest adaptation of Rick Riordan’s adventuresome series! Disney revealed the Season 1 episode titles on Instagram, where the studio’s been teasing characters and trailers for the episodic odyssey.

The episodes, in ascending order, are titled “I Accidentally Vaporize My Pre-Algebra Teacher,” “I Become Supreme Lord of the Bathroom,” “We Visit The Garden Gnome Emporium,” “I Plunge To My Death,” “A God Buys Us Cheeseburgers,” “We Take A Zebra To Vegas,” “We Find Out The Truth, Sort Of,” and “The Prophecy Comes True.”

Based on Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series by award-winning author Rick Riordan, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” tells the unbelievable story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound divine powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. With help from his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an adventure of a lifetime to find it and restore order to Olympus.

The series stars Walker Scobell (“Percy Jackson”), Leah Sava Jeffries (“Annabeth Chase”), Aryan Simhadri (“Grover Underwood”) and features notable guest stars Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Hermes”), Megan Mullally (“Alecto” aka “Mrs. Dodds”), Toby Stephens (“Poseidon”), Virginia Kull (“Sally Jackson”), Jason Mantzoukas (“Dionysus” aka “Mr. D”), Jay Duplass (“Hades”), Glynn Turman (“Chiron” aka “Mr. Brunner”), the late Lance Reddick (“Zeus”), Adam Copeland (“Ares”), Charlie Bushnell (“Luke Castellan”), Dior Goodjohn (“Clarisse La Rue”), Jessica Parker Kennedy (“Medusa”), Olivea Morton (“Nancy Bobofit”), Suzanne Cryer (“Echidna”), Timm Sharp (“Gabe Ugliano”), Timothy Omundson (“Hephaestus”).

Fans of Riordan’s work will be pleased to hear that the author will serve as a writer on the pilot episode alongside Jon Steinberg, which James Bobin directs. Steinberg will oversee the series with his producing partner, Dan Shotz. Steinberg and Shotz serve as executive producers alongside Bobin, Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen, Jim Rowe, and The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, and D.J. Goldberg.

As a major fan of the Percy Jackson novel series (from back in the day), I eagerly await Disney’s adaptation. I’ve always said the films could have done more to represent the material properly, and knowing how Disney likes to include polished VFX in their projects, my body is ready.
