Ryan Reynolds will finally watch Green Lantern for the first time

Ryan Reynolds, Green Lantern

Green Lantern certainly had a lot of potential, but despite Ryan Reynolds giving it his all (while saddled with a CG suit), the film was a critical and commercial disappointment that led to Warner Bros. cancelling their plans for a sequel. It's been ten years since the release of Green Lantern, if you can believe that, and Ryan Reynolds announced on Twitter that he'll be sitting down later today to do something he's never done before — actually watch the film. God speed, Ryan.

It’s apparently the only f**king movie in existence that’s not streaming anywhere so you’re SOL if you want to watch along. But I’m going deep," added Reynolds. Yep, you're going to want to stick around for that one because it sounds like Ryan Reynolds will be going after the film with all he's got. If you want to watch along with Reynolds, you might want to do so with a little liquid courage, and the actor was so kind as to include a recipe for a Lantern's Light cocktail featuring his Aviation Gin.

Aviation Gin has also provided a Drizly code (GINMOVIE) for $5 off your own bottle of Aviation Gin. Once again, Ryan Reynolds will begin watching Green Lantern at 6pm EST this evening, so stay tuned.
