Pinkman is on the move!

The first trailer for the videogame adaptation NEED FOR SPEED has sped online and it looks pretty damn cool. Now, part of that may come from seeing star Aaron Paul in his first post-Breaking Bad role, playing an ex-con street racer, as his defining role from that series has left such an indelible impression. Paul is joined by Dominic Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Imogen Poots, and Michael Keaton in the high-speed flick, which is directed by ACT OF VALOR’s Scott Waugh.

Drive, bitch!:

Here’s the synopsis:

Fresh from prison, a street racer who was framed by a wealthy business associate joins a cross country race with revenge in mind. His ex-partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins.

I’m intrigued by this more than anything just to see Paul in a lead role. He has more than proven his acting prowess and I’m interested to see how his career progresses from here. NEED FOR SPEED is kind of a safe, but smart transition for the actor and it will be interesting to see how he goes from a years-long stint as an erratic drug dealer to a leading man action star.

NEED FOR SPEED races into theaters on March 14, 2014.
