2 horrors 4 DeCoteau

A long time ago, Jared P. informed you guys of a 10-picture deal that Regent Studios had bestowed upon directed David DeCoteau. So far, DeCoteau has made good on the deal, delivering some gay-themed Edgar Allen Poe remakes. Now we have word on two more flicks stemming forth from the deal.

The first is called STEM CELL (pictured up top), written by Jana K. Arnold and Matthew Jason Walsh, and starring Darcy Fowers, Brian Gross, Jason-Shane Scott, and genre fave Dee Wallace. The plot goes like this: While recovering from an emotional trauma, Rita heads to the mountains to recuperate in peace and solitude. But a doctor named Pierce has hidden himself away in the boonies to work on stem cell research, and his experiments have run wildly amok—only Rita cannot tell if the horrific things she sees scuttling in the night are hallucinations or the results of Pierce’s demonically cutting-edge science.

The second is called ALIEN PRESENCE (pictured below) written by Paula Goldberg and again, Walsh. It stars hottie Krista Allen (FEAST), Greg Sestero and Scott Seymour. Here’s the plot: In the vein of SPECIES, the story centers on an alien teenager who wreaks havoc on a group of unsuspecting med students at a remote government compound.

From the pictures, I’m guessing there may be some gay themes in both of these flicks too. The plot for STEM CELL sounds pretty cool and ALIEN PRESENCE has Krista Allen — so there seems to be something positive about both flicks!
