Boss Level: Frank Grillo levels up in new action-packed trailer

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Frank Grillo, who is one of the most underrated action stars working today, gets a showcase opposite big names like Mel Gibson and Michelle Yeoh in the newest trailer for Joe Carnahan's Boss Level.

Here's the official synopsis, per Hulu:

Trapped in a time loop that constantly repeats the day of his murder, former special forces agent Roy Pulver (Frank Grillo) uncovers clues about a secret government project that could unlock the mystery behind his untimely death. In a race against the clock, Pulver must hunt down Colonel Ventor (Mel Gibson), the powerful head of the government program, while outrunning skilled ruthless assassins determined to keep him from the truth in order to break out of the loop, save his ex-wife (Naomi Watts) and live once again for tomorrow.

Joining Grillo, Gibson, and Yeoh for Carnahan's latest are Naomi Watts, Ken Jeong, Annabelle Wallis, Will Sasso, Meadow Williams, Mathilde Ollivier, Selina Lo, Tyler Jon Olson, Sheaun McKinney, and John Cenatiempo, among others. In addition to his directorial duties, Carnahan also wrote the screenplay with Chris Borey and Eddie Borey. Meanwhile, Carnahan, Frank Grillo, Randall Emmett, and George Furla all helped produce the upcoming film.

My being a major fan of both action films and video games, Boss Level looks like it's right up my alley. Knowing full-well that Grillo is a man who always gets the job done, I'm looking forward to seeing him restrategize and conquer the seemingly-impossible for this movie.

With films like The A-TeamThe Grey, and Smokin' Aces a part of his pantheon, I'm fired up to see how Carnahan changes the game when Boss Level begins streaming on Hulu on March 5, 2021.
