Spike Lee is back with a brand new joint detailing the harrowing story of four African-American Vets that return to Vietnam seeking the remains of their fallen Squad Leader in the debut trailer for DA 5 BLOODS.
DA 5 BLOODS stars Chadwick Boseman, Delroy Lindo, Clarke Peters, Norm Lewis, Isiah Whitlock, Jr. & Jonathan Majors and follows the four Vets not only on their journey for the remains of their fallen Squad Leader(Boseman) but also on the promise of buried treasure that they helped him hide. Through it all, they will be confronted by the lasting ravages of The Immorality of The Vietnam War.
DA 5 BLOODS was set to play at Cannes out of the competition but the festival was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Lee was expected to head the jury at the Riviera festival. Despite the cancellation, DA 5 BLOODS should see significant buzz as it's Lee's follow-up to BLACKKKLANSMAN, which was a career resurgence for the director, earning six Academy Award nominations with the film winning the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.
