Happy Death Day director and cast are throwing a Twitter watch party

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

One of my favorite genre movies of the last few years is director Christopher Landon's HAPPY DEATH DAY, a film that overcomes the fact that it's a PG-13 slasher and still manages to be highly entertaining, largely thanks to the awesome performance delivered by Jessica Rothe in the lead role.

To help fans and themselves pass some time and have some fun during the COVID-19 lockdown, Landon and members of the HAPPY DEATH DAY cast are getting together for a "Twitter Watch Party" tonight. The viewing starts at 10:30pm Eastern / 7:30pm Pacific, and you'll be able to follow along and join in on Twitter with the #SameDamnDay hashtag.

Jessica Rothe, Israel Broussard, Ruby Modine, Rachel Matthews, and Phi Vu are the cast members who will be participating.

Written by Landon and Scott Lobdell, HAPPY DEATH DAY puts a horrific twist on the concept of GROUNDHOG DAY and stars Rothe as

a college student who relives the day of her murder with both its unexceptional details and terrifying end until she discovers her killer’s identity.

If you need a copy of HAPPY DEATH DAY before the watch party begins, the film is available to purchase on Amazon Prime Video.
