Hey posers, I got something for ya! Director James Merendino has released a teaser trailer for PUNK'S DEAD: SLC PUNK! 2, the upcoming sequel to his 1998 cult movie SLC PUNK! Although Matthew Lillard and Jason Segal won't be back for the follow up, Michael Goorjian will return as Heroin Bob, and he will also be the narrator this time. The film also stars Ben Schnetzer (WARCRAFT) as Bob's son Ross, as well as Hannah Marks (THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) and Sarah Clarke (TWILIGHT).

In addition, James Merendino also explained to The Wrap his intentions with the first teaser for PUNK'S DEAD: SLC PUNK! 2.

In this teaser, you will get a glimpse at familiar faces and I briefly introduce Bob's son, Ross. I am not revealing all of the characters or even much of the story. There's more, much more. Enjoy.

"I'm still dead, so f*ck you!"

I'm a huge fan of SLC PUNK!, and while I am a little bummed a few characters and actors from the original won't be returning for the sequel, I do definitely want to see PUNK'S DEAD: SLC PUNK! 2. Although the teaser is light on plot, James Merendino did reveal to us a few details about the film in an interview earlier this year.

Ross and two friends are the primary focus of this movie. Ross lives under the long shadow cast by his dead father. He struggles with this and as the story unfolds as he tries to come to terms with the pressure of having to make up for the loss of this now legendary dead local figure. So, you could say, he's the lead. I'm sort of passing the torch. It's largely about how these new young outsiders in SLC behave and how the old crew from SLC Punk reacts to them, in their own, idiosyncratic way. I want to show a modern youth culture in this picture.

What are your thoughts on this first look at PUNK'S DEAD: SLC PUNK! 2?

PUNK'S DEAD: SLC PUNK! 2 will likely be in theaters sometime in 2014.
