Trailer: Home invasion horror-thriller Jackals starring Stephen Dorff

Earlier today we brought you guys the new poster for horror comedy DEAD SHACK. In that post, I mentioned that the film had made its way onto my "must-see" list and now we have the new trailer for the home invasion thriller JACKALS, which based on this trailer has also now earned a spot on that list.

I'm a big fan of home invasion flicks – especially ones where the evil peeps sport animal masks – so I'm digging this trailer all around. Tag to that the flick stars Stephen Dorff (LEATHERFACE) and is directed by Kevin Gruetert (SAW VI and SAW: THE FINAL CHAPTER) and I'm ready to check this out asap.

In a potent blend of the horror, thriller and home-invasion genres, an estranged family attempts to save their son from a murderous cult in the terrifying psychological thriller Jackals. Opening in select theaters and On Demand September 1st, 2017 from Scream Factory Films, Jackals is a shocking and suspenseful saga from director Kevin Greutert (Saw 3D, Visions) and producer Tommy Alastra (Sunset Strip).      

Directed by Kevin Greutert and written by Jared Rivet, JACKALS stars Deborah Kara Unger (Crash, Silent Hill), Ben Sullivan (Hell on Wheels, Stonewall), Chelsea Ricketts (Scream Queens, True Blood), and Nick Roux (Jane by Design), with Johnathon Schaech (That Thing You Do!, Arsenal) and  Stephen Dorff (Blade, Leatherface). The film is produced by Tommy Alastra and TAP Inc. Productions 

Jackals is disturbing vision of a fractured family that will do anything to get their estranged son back from a murderous cult, only to find themselves under siege when the cultists surround their cabin.  A vicious battle unfolds, testing familial loyalties and unleashing a bloodbath in which there are few survivors.

JACKALS is directed by Kevin Greutert from a script by Jared Rivet. The film stars Deborah Kara Unger, Nick Roux, Chelsea Ricketts, and Ben Sullivan with Johnathon Schaech and Stephen Dorff.

JACKALS opens in select theaters and On Demand everywhere September 1st, 2017.
