As somebody who spends most of their time watching films, I don’t get around to streaming television as much as I’d like. One show I happened upon before interviewing the amazing Sheila Vand awhile back for The Rental was the TNT series Snowpiercer. With only a single watch of a single episode, I became a fan. The impressive cast includes the very talented Daveed Diggs (Blindspotting, Hamilton) as well as the equally compelling Katie McGuinness (The Borgias, Roots). The two actors are taking on a brand new season of the acclaimed series. And yes, season 3 is incredibly exciting from what I’ve seen thus far.
We recently had the great pleasure of speaking to members of the cast of Snowpiercer. First up, we spoke with both Diggs and McGuinness. Having been involved from the very beginning, Diggs opened up about continuing to allow the character of “Andre Layton” to expand. As well, McGuinness talked about what’s in store for “Josie Wellstead.” Based on the feature film directed by Bong Joon Ho, the series brings a perfect balance of character and action to the small screen. And yes, the third season seems to be sending this train in an exciting direction. Look out for more interviews coming this week with Mickey Sumner, Iddo Goldberg, and Rowan Blanchard.
Snowpiercer Season 3 is available January 31st on TNT and HBO Max. It’s well worth the ride.
