It was easy to be a fan of Snowpiercer when it was a movie directed by Bong Joon Ho. And three seasons into the TNT series, I’m a fan of the small screen take as well. Much of my admiration for it comes from the cast itself. This excellent series brings the likes of Sean Bean as well as Jennifer Connelly, as well as major talents like Rowan Blanchard and Mickey Sumner. It’s been fantastic to see how well the series has introduced new characters while bringing others back. This is a smart and thrilling series that is also visually impressive without sacrificing character.
We recently spoke to several cast members involved in Snowpiercer, and every single one was terrific to speak with. I was impressed with both Rowan Blanchard (who plays Alexandra Cavill) and Mickey Sumner (who plays Bess Till). The two spoke about continuing on into season 3, and how they saw their characters moving forward. They both appeared to relish the importance of portraying well-rounded individuals in such a massive sci-fi series. And frankly, that’s one of the most appealing factors of Snowpiercer.
