Masquerade trailer: Bella Thorne leads a home invasion in July thriller

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

A while back, we shared the news that Bella Thorne would be starring in writer/director Shane Dax Taylor's home invasion thriller Masquerade. That film is now scheduled to receive a Digital, On Demand, and limited theatrical release on July 30th, and a trailer has arrived online to give a preview of what Masquerade has in store for us. Check it out in the embed above!

Alyvia Alyn Lind of the Netflix show Daybreak stars in Masquerade as

11-year-old Casey, who is home alone when a group of intruders, led by Rose (Thorne), break in. They plan to steal her family’s priceless collection of artwork, but their wreckless ambition is outmatched only by Rose’s opportunism. Casey must struggle to survive as the stakes grow ever higher and the invaders prove themselves willing to stop at nothing to get what they want.

Also in the cast are Skyler Samuels, Austin Nichols, and Mircea Monroe.

Taylor produced the film with Steven Schneider and Kenneth Burke. Stuart Manashil, Joe Heath, Corky Taylor, Ron Kirchhoff, Jeff Walz, Brian Dahlin, Roman Terrill, Raja Collins, and John Lind served as executive producers.

The trailer doesn't make me all that enthusiastic for Masquerade, but I'll be giving the movie a chance this July or August.
