UPDATE: JURASSIC WORLD now has an official site counting down to 9pm ET (6pm PT) on November 27th. Trailer debut? That’s definitely a possibility and if so, you can expect me to give some serious thanks come next Thursday!

While we sit and wait patiently for the JURASSIC WORLD trailer, some pictures have landed that give us an idea of what the infamous genetically engineered D-Rex will look like in Colin Trevorrow‘s JURASSIC WORLD. Sure, I’ve fallen victim to false concept art before, but this appears to be our closest look at what to expect. You can check out all the Lego pictures here, but I’ve included the D-Rex and T-rex (for some scale).

As we can see, the D-Rex does have some elongated features (mouth and arms) as well as differing pigments of color compared to our classic T-Rex. Given that this is the Lego iteration, I’m very curious to see how this beast looks on film and what it’s capable of. To continue along our JURASSIC WORLD news path, a viral site has hit for Masrani Global Corporation. As far as JURASSIC WORLD lore is concerned, Simon Masrani acquired InGen in 1998 and set forth to finish the job John Hammond started. He’s succeeded in opening the park on Isla Nublar (for now), but the site includes several interesting tid bits of information, including some business about a new operation in Sibera that may unearth organic remains from 400,000 years ago. You can check out the site here. Very interesting…

JURASSIC WORLD his theaters on June 12, 2015.
