New festival trailer for Tobe Hooper’s Djinn

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It's been quite a while since we've heard anything from THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE director Tobe Hooper's latest foray into horror, the supernatural romp DJINN. It was way back in January of 2012 when we first got a look at the film courtesy a 4-minute sales trailer that looked very promising. We followed that up a short time later with a shorter but equally impressive trailer that gave us just enough of the goods to be sold on wanting to check this one out. But in the more than 18 months since those trailers dropped we haven't heard much at all from DJINN. That all changes today as we have a brand new festival trailer for the flick for you to check out below!

Starring Khalid Laith, Razane Jammal, Aiysha Hart, Carole Abboud, Paul Luebke and May El Calamawy, the story follows…

…a young Emirati couple who return home from the U.S. to discover that their new apartment in a luxury high-rise built on the site of an abandoned fishing village is also home to the malevolent beings known as “djinn.””

Hopefully we'll be hearing some distribution news on this one soon.
