Take a risk, find yourself, and check out the newest trailer for Paper Towns

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

The first trailer for PAPER TOWNS didn't exactly set the JoBlo community ablaze, but thankfully Twentieth Century Fox has released a new trailer which, if you weren't already into it, probably won't get you any more excited about the film. Oh well. PAPER TOWNS is the adaptation of the John Green novel by the same name and looks as though it may not be quite as depressing as Green's previous book-to-film adaptation, THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. Having two leads not dying of cancer tends to do that.

While the trailer definitely plays better for me than the first did, especially as it shows off more of the film's humour, it still didn't perk my interest until the mystery element became apparent. Despite that, it's likely the film won't exactly be my cup of tea but, based on the reception THE FAULT IN OUR STARS received, it's likely they won't miss my butt in the theater.

PAPER TOWNS is a coming-of-age story centering on Quentin and his enigmatic neighbor Margo, who loved mysteries so much she became one. After taking him on an all-night adventure through their hometown, Margo suddenly disappears–leaving behind cryptic clues for Quentin to decipher. The search leads Quentin and his quick-witted friends on an exhilarating adventure that is equal parts hilarious and moving. Ultimately, to track down Margo, Quentin must find a deeper understanding of true friendship–and true love.

PAPER TOWNS will head to theaters on July 24, 2015.
