DEAD SNOW 2: RED VS. DEAD just recently started screening here in the United States and we enjoyed the heck out of it. So, naturally, it is time to talk about DEAD SNOW 3. Director Tommy Wirkola recently announced he would not be directing the sequel to HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS which means his calendar has opened up for other projects. One of those could be the third entry in the Nazi zombie horror series.

Speaking with Shock Till You Drop, Wirkola shared some ideas for where the next film could go.

“We have some ideas. We want to make a trilogy some time, if this does well. As you know, he [protagonist Martin] has a woman now, so we can deal with that. Maybe he has half-zombie kids. We haven’t seen half-zombies. We talked about opening the next film showing a zombie birth and it being the worst birth ever. These are just ideas for now, but I feel one more [film] could happen if this one does well.”

Odds are fans will check out DEAD SNOW 2: RED VS. DEAD based on word of mouth, but these are not movies that become blockbusters. Here’s hoping that enough folks turn out to see the movie to warrant a third. A few movies have attempted zombie babies, but seeing a full on birthing scene in the same vein as the first two movies could mean one heck of a cinematic moment.

DEAD SNOW 2: RED VS. DEAD is now playing.
