Here’s a loud-looking film that’s been pretty damn quiet up until now.
UNSTOPPABLE, the latest collaboration between filmmaker Tony Scott (EMMA’S WAR, THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123) and Denzel Washington (THE BOOK OF ELI, THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123), is opening in just under three months, yet this is the first anything we’re seeing of the film? That’s usually indicative of a problematic movie. But I like Tony Scott. I like Denzel. I like Chris Pine. I like ’em together! So I will hold out hope that this will be a sound locomotive action-drama worth checking out. What do you think?

Synopsis: A 20th Century Fox drama about a runaway train carrying a cargo of toxic chemicals, pits an engineer and his conductor in a race against time. They’re chasing the runaway train in a separate locomotive and need to bring it under control before it derails on a curve and causes a toxic spill that will decimate a town.
