You know, I really liked OLD SCHOOL but it's definitely one of those movies that really doesn't need a sequel. Yet the success of that film makes it almost a foregone conclusion that DreamWorks will try to churn one out. In fact they're currently trying to get one together, titled OLD SCHOOL DOS. The sequel might be destined for the bargain bin though as Will Ferrell says you can count him out. While in London promoting STRANGER THAN FICTION, Ferrell told The Guardian, "Oh, I wouldn't do another OLD SCHOOL" adding, "I would never be behind that one." Ferrell also confirms he turned down a whopping $29 million to star in ELF 2. "I killed the idea of a sequel. I never liked it - $29m does seem a lot of money for a guy to wear tights." Withouth OLD SCHOOL and ELF sequels, Ferrell still has plenty on his plate including STEP BROTHERS with John C. Reilly and SEMI-PRO with Woody Harrelson.

I desperately want a sequel to The Incredibles. And The Dark Knight. Other than that, you're probably on the money.

Old School 2...let it die, especially without Ferrell.

"...needs a sequel..."
I'm not sure I can name ANY movies that "need a sequel", to be honest :)

Glad to know he's doing his part in keeping this asinine trend of sequels reduced.

Good for him, he's not selling out. Both of those movies were great but Old School definitely does not need a sequel. Elf maybe, but NOT Old school. Good choice, cuz even though it's a lot of money he's turning down, he's gonna make more money for NOT doing them, because if he did them his credibility would plummet.

kudos to him for that, im glad to see that he has a conscious about what he does and cares about the films he's been in... and he was great in stranger than fiction, quickly becoming more than a goofy funnyman
