Is it too early to start giving out awards for Best Trailer of the year? I guess there's still about eight more months to go but for my money, you're not going to get much better than the PINEAPPLE EXPRESS red band trailer. There are just so many little things in there to love in addition to all the big laughs. But we've seen the trailer already and we're here to show you something you haven't seen.

We're proud to debut today the poster for PINEAPPLE EXPRESS. I liked the old tagline ("One hit could ruin your entire day") but I think I like this one even more ("Put this in your pipe and smoke it"). And I love the addition of Danny McBride on the poster. His "thug life!" line in the trailer never fails to crack me up. PINEAPPLE hits theaters on August 8th (too bad 4/20 isn't a Friday this year) and I can't wait!

Great call on the reference; I don't think I would've remembered those posters. This one is odd because I don't feel it conveys the story or what to expect very much (aside from maybe the fact that Seth Rogen of all people is mugging with a gun).

The film is pretty awesome. James Franco is bloody hilarious in this, and the action is surprisingly engaging.

This movie looks to be funniest movie-EVER! Superbad, 40 yo, and Knocked Up were hilarious and this looks to top those [link] Those who aren't impressed can have a helping of my left nut.

this poster is weak almost looks like the superbad poster. at least as far as people just standing there looking confused with a big heading....maybe it's just me either wy i liked superbad's poster but this just seemed bland to me.

is it just me or are apatow posters really boring? from the comments bewlos it's probably just me.

Movies centered around marijuana have been a let down for me for the most part. I barely enjoyed Half Baked and Harald and Kumar about the same. This movie looks promising. Franco will no doubt be a pleasure to watch in this role and I like that they've thrown some action in the mix.

I mean the trailer looked ok. I think it looks great to see Franco in a DIFFERENT role for once but it takes the normal stoner film but add a bit of heart to it... or something.. i dunno if i should rent it or have someone pay for me to see it.

i think this movie is getting overhyped. it looks funny but not that much. the harold and kumar 2 red band trailer was much funnier. and this poster is nothing special, i dont know why you guys love it so much.
I still want to see this movie but it doesnt look as good as superbad did

Yeah welcome back from not acting in a bloated Superhero franchise that past 10 years. What happened? You were supposed to be great, you worked with DeNiro, you were the second coming of James Dean but you decided to play Harry as a wussy and have done nothing since. Thank you for regurgitating my opinion, albeit more in the form of a more obvious platitude, that a genre is not inherently good or bad. That vindicates me - and when I'm vindicated, I double in size and gain the power to break blocks with my head and throw fireballs at my opponents - are you hearing this, Nancy Grace?

I'd be interested in your opinion about the actual trailer, once you've actually seen it. Unlike genres, movies are inherently good IF Gary Cole is in the cast. That universal, unarguable truth is times two when Cole plays a bad guy. In fact, I order you to wipe your current film cue, and only look for movies featuring Gary Cole. Go. Now. What are you waiting for? "Cyclops, Baby" and "Mozart and the Whale" are not going to wait forever to be watched by you.

I haven't watched the trailer for this yet but will later today. Hopefully it wont dissapoint. The cast isn't bad, though Seth Rogan is immensely over-rated.

Roman is just being a negative nancy - don't worry, Roman someday somebody will pass you the doobie on the left hand side, and you can stop hating us (hating us passionately while secretly wanting so desperately to be near us, to hold us, to run your fingers through our golden locks, to whisper sweet nothings into our ears as the amber morning light passes through the shades - and to wake and bake with us).

Personally, regardless of whoever turns their nose up at this movie in funnier-than-though cinefascism, I want to pull the carb and inhale all of the smoke out of that poster, cough my ass off, and go watch the movie. August, you mock me with vile contempt from behind an iron wall of so many calendar pages.

How do these guys get their movies made?!
This film is for stoners, people who find stoners funny and ten year olds. It looks like it was made back in the eighties, when Cheech and Chong were the epitomy of funny (to stoners).
