New Blade Runner trailer to debut in front of Alien: Covenant

Passionate Ridley Scott fans are having a year-long Christmas in 2017, with the director bringing us his newest entry in the ALIEN franchise next month, and a sequel to his landmark sci-fi film, BLADE RUNNER, coming from Denis Villeneuve arriving in October. For all of you who are at level 10 giddiness for these movies prepare to skyrocket to 11, as news is the new trailer for BLADE RUNNER 2049 will debut it in front of ALIEN: COVENANT. Might as well put up that tree now.

The news comes out of an interview Scott gave with the Associated Press, wherein he talks about making ALIEN and always looking to the future. Scott didn’t say much about the trailer, instead bluntly stating it “will be cool.” That’s more than enough for die-hard RUNNER fans who, as well as everyone else on the planet, were blown away by the teaser that debuted at the end of last year.

Now that we know what other epicness awaits us when COVENANT arrives the wait is going to be all the harder. This is going to be a huge year for classic sci-fi fans, with the two aforementioned movies on the horizon AND a new STAR WARS movie to cap it all off. It’s never been a better time to be a dork, dweeb, geek or classic nerd, and come the release of ALIEN: COVENANT that’s all going to set in.

ALIEN: COVENANT with Katherine Waterston and Michael Fassbender arrives May 19, and BLADE RUNNER 2049 with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford arrives October 6.
