Shyamalan’s Glass casts Sarah Paulson

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

M.Night Shyamalan broke minds earlier this year when SPLIT ended up being a sequel to his hit film UNBREAKABLE, with news then coming out that a third movie – GLASS – would conclude a trilogy. Bruce Willis, James McAvoy and Samuel L. Jackson will be in attendance, and even with those heavy hitters, there’s still plenty of room on the cast sheet for some extra greatness.

The writer/director took to Twitter to announce one more piece of amazing casting in the form of THE PEOPLE VS. O.J. SIMPSON star Sarah Paulson. Shyamalan did not give any more details, but we can only assume she will play the human incarnation of a twist ending.

Paulson made a name for herself on hit shows like AMERICAN HORROR STORY and won a slew of awards for SIMPSON, but hasn’t really broken big into movies. She had great parts in 12 YEARS AND SLAVE and CAROL, but her movie career only now seems to be kicking into high gear. On top of GLASS, she has parts in the upcoming OCEAN’S EIGHT and Steven Spielberg’s THE PAPERS.

Paulson has really burst onto the scene in a big way since she broke out on AMERICAN HORROR STORY and so far has earned tons of deserved praise. She’s an incredibly talented actress who commits 100 percent to all her roles, going deeper into them than perhaps anyone else would. She will make a terrific addition to the GLASS cast, whatever her role may be. Maybe she's what will make McAvoy and Willis realize that friendship is the greatest superpower of all.
