Robocop goes R

Producer Mike Medavoy has told MTV that the upcoming ROBOCOP reboot – to be scripted by David Self and directed by Darren Aronofsky – will likely be gunning for a hard R rating:

“Well I was involved with the original ‘Robocop,’ and it was an R, and the likelihood is that this will be an R… It’s likely to be an R unless the director cuts back on some of it.”

To be honest, after seeing how bad ass THE DARK KNIGHT was without showing anything hardcore whether or not ROBOCOP shows anything matters less to me than it might have a month ago. Although so do most things. I find that after seeing THE DARK KNIGHT I just wander around aimlessly, often waking up in strange and unfamiliar places.
