I think Brian Helgeland (Mystic River, The Order) would probably rather not be making a movie based on a comic that probably took some inspiration from the character Parker (or Porter), when he could work on much more prestigious films.
In other news, all I can say is I'm surprised they never had the guy on their list, but I consider any time someone makes a public plea to no particular party that they're game for a particular role, without addressing the filmmaker(s) formally, I consider it highly unlikely that they will get the part (though in this case he looked pretty damn good). So basically, all those rumored "Riddler" actors aren't gonna make the cut in my opinion. |

I think he is honestly better than those two directors though. All he needs is a really dramatic role. The Mist was great, but it was a little seen horror film. I still loved him as The Punisher... :-( |
